The Bulgarian violinist EVGENIA MARIA POPOVA
received her first musical education at the Sofia Music School under
Peter Christoskov. As a student of Leonid Kogan, she graduated with
honours from the Moscow Conservatory and then pursued Advanced Solo
Studies at the Guildhall School of Music in London. Her international
concert activities include appearances at the Royal Festival Hall
and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, at Eastern and Western European
music festivals as well as broadcast recordings all over Europe,
France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and the Americas. Miss Popova
has performed solo concertos with numerous orchestras among which
the Montreal Symphony, the Mexico City and the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra. She has been appointed professor at the Sofia Academy
of Music.
